Profile:

Mgr. Lívia Kodajová graduated at the Department of Translation studies, CPU in Nitra in the study programme English Language and Culture and German Language and Culture (aimed at preparing translators and interpreters) by defending her Master’s thesis titled The Role of Personality Traits in the Pedagogical Intervention in Future Interpreters. In 2024, she took first place at the departmental round of the Student Scientific, Professional and Artistic Activity with her thesis Working with students’ personal characteristics in interpreter training. In her dissertation, she addresses the impact of public service translation and interpreting on the quality of life of vulnerable populations. Her research focuses on the field of public service translation and interpreting as well as personality aspects in the context of interpreting. Apart from her academic activities, she is a practicing translator of audiovisual works, and collaborates on the production of interlingual subtitles and subtitles for the D/deaf and Hard of Hearing for the One World Film Festival.
