Tradition and Innovation in Translation Studies Research VIII: Translation in Motion
On February 13, 2020, the eighth annual conference of doctoral students and young researchers Tradition and innovation in translational research, subtitled Translation in Motion, was held at the Department of Translational Sciences of the FF UKF in Nitra. Also this year, the conference had an international participation, in addition to doctoral students from the Department of Translation Studies of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Nitra, Comenius University in Bratislava, and the Slovak Academy of Sciences, doctoral students from Hungary, Greece, and Northern Ireland also took part in it. The conference traditionally offers space for the presentation of various areas of doctoral research. This year, the issue of audiovisual translation dominated, but also topics dedicated to artistic translation, the work of an editor, interpreting or sociological research focused on the translation market. We believe that the individual contributions of the participants inspired in many aspects and that the conference will contribute to deepening or establishing new academic cooperation.
