Interpreting and Its Forms in Different Contexts
On 11th December 2024, the Department of Translation Studies hosted an accredited interpreter for EU institutions, Mrs. Veronika Majerová. Her lecture was intended mainly for master’s students and focused on presenting the specifics of interpreting and its various forms (sight translation, consecutive interpreting, simultaneous interpreting, chuchotage, interpreting for EU institutions, etc.). She also introduced to the students the practical aspects of interpreting and her own interpreting experience. The lecture met with a positive response, and we believe that it encouraged students in their further professional development.
